Customers will soon have access to transit information across GTHA transit boundaries.
As one of the fastest growing transit providers in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA), Brampton Transit continues to invest in technology that supports riders with their trips. Inpixon has been engaged to develop a travel station that will provide wayfinding and trip planning information. This station will be rolled out at the Bramalea Transit Terminal, this fall.
Inpixon's proprietary indoor intelligence solutions, will utilize real-time data and provide bus route information. According to Chris Wiegand, CEO of Jibestream (now an Inpixon company), “this solution will be quite revolutionary in terms of the experience for the riders because of the integration of several data sets i.e. transit schedules, off-transit route maps, and the ability for people to search for their end destination even though it might be outside Brampton transit boundaries”.
This technology enhancement will help riders and staff alike as they continue to work on improving the overall transit experience for their riders. In addition to having access to transit information across the GTHA to plan their trips, there will also be information about local attractions and events.
“At Brampton Transit we continue to introduce new technologies to ensure we can provide the highest levels of customer service to our riders and employees,” said Alex Milojevic, Director of Transit. “We are currently working with Jibestream on an innovative project that will integrate the newest wayfinding technologies into our terminals that further demonstrates our commitment to providing our riders with the best tools to improve their transit experience”.
Inpixon specializes in helping people navigate physical environments by delivering meaningful information at the right time and place and is proud to provide this technological wayfinding solution to Brampton Transit.
